Healthy soil-life is the foundation of healthy plants and gardens.
In a food forest, we chop & drop and chip plant material, and place it on top of the soil where it eventually decomposes and feeds the soil life.
In other gardens, folks create compost piles which eventually heat up and cause the plant material to decompose, then add it into the garden soil to feed the soil life.
Here’s the GOOD NEWS!
You no longer have to wait a long time for plant matter to decompose, because your old friend Tutu has discovered a way to feed your garden soil dwellers quickly and easily!
I’ll share it with you here!
Here’s the idea:
When processing your harvest into food for people, toss the scraps into a big pot, cover with water, and bring to a boil.
This simple process releases many nutrients into the water and is a free and fabulous way to return sugars, fragrances, and necessary nutrients back to your soil-dwelling allies!
Recycling the beautiful garden produce back into the garden can be accomplished in a day!
Please enjoy this video showing how the process works.
